About (O)Ratio
(O)Ratio follows artificial intelligence as it meets the law: the cases that test settled principles, the questions that have no clear answer yet, and the consequences for everyone who has to work in between.
Who (O)Ratio is for
You will find general legal commentary only on (O)Ratio. It is written with Australian legal practitioners and the curious in mind. Please note that nothing you read on this site constitutes legal advice.
The name
Ratio is reason — the ratio decidendi that decides a legal dispute. Oratio is speech. Cicero considered the two inseparable. A language model supplies speech effortlessly; whether reason follows is the part still in parentheses. Hence the (O).
